It would certainly not be news to any one of you that today we live in a world in which pornography is consumed like no other time in history. With the advent of the internet, pornography has become readily available.  BabiesAccording to the 2008 Internet Pornography Statistics, every second there are approximately 28,258 internet users viewing pornography. Every day there are approximately 116,000 online searches for child pornography.1  As we and our children acquired handheld devices such as smart phones and tablets, porn has become even more accessible. And most parents continue to give these devices to their children without any kind of internet filter.

As this tsunami continues, many children and adults are struggling with addictions. Many of our youth are involved in the craze of “sexting.”  Our children, families, marriages, and communities are suffering from the consequences. A young person whose first impression is hardcore porn will have a skewed idea of what true intimacy is really like.

Culture War -- Sex (Internet porn B&W)Our youth are not the only ones affected.  Both men and women are becoming obsessed at an alarming rate.  I wonder how many marriages are deteriorating all around us because of addictions related to pornography.

Everyone I have discussed this project with is at least somewhat aware of the problem. Almost everyone I’ve talked with knows someone, a friend or family member, who struggles with this. And this situation is constantly getting worse!

While I could go on and on with the problems and the hopelessness around us, I had much rather focus on a solution.  One is coming to Cedartown on February 21-22 2014.  It is called:
